Technical Sales Specialist


As a Technical Sales Specialist/Sales Engineer, you will become our Subject Matter Expert by mastering every technical aspect of the solution. Your main responsibilities will be to accompany the Account Managers to the pre-sales meetings where technical questions are addressed, define how the solution is to be customized to meet client requirements, while working closely with other teams such as R&D and Project Management.

To fill this role, you must understand the Transportation industry as well as every aspect of the business process, and operational challenges in freight transport. You will use ISAAC’s solutions to help clients overcome challenges and improve their performances. You will report to the Vice-President of Sales.

The ideal candidate has good social skills, likes to find solutions to problems, has a lot of interest in technology, is an energetic team player, and is curious in understanding how stuff works.


  • Analyzing business processes and defining functional requirements of the solution to be deployed to clients

  • Assisting the Account Managers during client pre-sales meetings

  • Understanding the challenges of Fleet Managers and helping them optimize performance and productivity

  • Overseeing pilot projects at the pre-sale stage and providing technical expertise to ensure that the solution meets client needs

  • Following up on technical questions from clients

  • Identifying new sales opportunities and informing the Account Manager

  • Documenting activities in the CRM

  • Informing the Product Manager of new requirements that arise in the industry

  • Optimizing the use of technology in the Transportation industry

  • Contributing to the improvement of ISAAC’s sales and deployment processes


  • University degree in engineering, telecommunications or IT

  • Work experience as a Technical Specialist, Sales Engineer, System Engineer or Business Analyst in IT

  • Experience or knowledge in telemetry or telematics solutions

  • Keen interest in implementing business strategies

  • Strong communicator

  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills


  • Work experience in a transport and logistics company
